ATEQ Instrument needs REPAIR or CALIBRATION and you want an
ATEQ USA technician to come to your plant?
Let's make sure that it is the right solution for you
You
need to be aware that the cost of an on site repair
and/or calibration in your plant will be necessarily
more than in our offices.
This service is based upon availability of trained staff and
transportation so it is not necessarily faster than sending
your instrument Fedex or UPS next day with a pre-payment.
The repairs/calibartions on site cannot be guaranteed since
the technician cannot travel with a complete set of spare
parts and tools
Even if the service trip was not successful, the client still
has to pay for the service trip.
The
labor cost is US$120 per hour on site , from 7am to 7pm. On
this you need to add US$60 per hour of travel time and preparation.(7am
to 7pm daytime rate).
For night work or Sunday work, the above labour and travel
rates double. For saturday work the rates are multilpied by
1.5. Workdays are a maximum of 10 hours.
On that you need to add the travel expenses: plane ticket,
car rental, mileage, tolls, hotel and restaurants.
ATEQ charges $380 per standard instrument calibration certificate
issued. The calibration certificates are provided when the
payment is received
ATEQ does not itemize the actual expenses on the invoice,
but charges a local estimated rate for hotels and restaurants
and an estimated airfare.
ATEQ's staff reserves their choice of accomodation and food.
In the same way, the travel and preparation times are estimated,
not actual itemized on the invoice.
Please keep in mind that last minute airfares are the most
expensive ones.
ATEQ charges additionnal any spare parts or supplies needed
for the repair.

Special
conditions for a service call outside the USA.
Most countries require a valid work visa for any foreigner
comming for a service call.
Some countries do not allow an easy temporary importation
of tools, spare parts and calibration instruments.
The intervention might be slowed down by the process of getting
a work visa for our technician,
and the temporary importation of the necessary tools, spare
parts and calibration instruments.
Any cost related to getting a work visa, necessary immunizations
and the temporary importation of necessary items will be charged
to the client.
That's why it is recommended to deal with the local ATEQ office
if you have one in your country (faster, less expensive).
ATEQ USA keeps some technical people on staff with regularly
renewed technical work authorization for Mexico and the European
Union,
but the availability of those people might also slow down
the process.
In addition, ATEQ USA will not send any technician in areas
with risks of deadly epidemics or violence.
The service calls abroad are always pre-paid.
