1) ATEQ
does not compete with you : ATEQ does not make
machines, most of our US competitors do directly or through
a sister company. If you think you can introduce them to
your clients and get repeat business, think twice. Do you
think they will give you a better price for instruments
than to their own machine building division?.
2) Do
you lose some business on price? With about
3000 air leak test instruments made per year, ATEQ is in
the best position to give you a really industrialized and
dependable design at a reasonable cost, and help you get
some more business. A basic pressure decay instrument costs
US$2990. ATEQ has high speed leak and flow testers to quote
one test station when competitors quote many.
3)
You just don't want to fly to China on Thanksgiving day
for an instrument problem. Throughout the industrial
world, ATEQ has engineers that live there, have work right
in the country, speak the local language, and work on local
work days.
4) The
instrument worked in your plant, you shipped it abroad an
it doesn't work anymore? An ATEQ instrument
is designed to work worldwide. Local temperature, humidity,
safety standards, electrical voltage, electrical frequency
are not an issue.
5) Do
you know more about leak testing than the leak tester rep.?
Do you get tech. support from another time zone? Is tech.
support so far away that it would cost you to see them?
ATEQ has applications engineers that work only
on leak testing, and that are close to where you are in
the U.S. for installation or application assistance.
6)
Does the sales rep. promote one technology as a universal
cure for all leak test problems? You know better.
ATEQ has a wide range of leak test technologies available,
and they all exist for a reason.
7)Has
your client been lured by a "revolutionnay breakthrough
patented new technology" in leak testing, and you don't
know how to tell him that it does look like an old one?
Your parents told you: if it's too good to
be true, it certainly isn't. Patents for little improvements
of existing technologies do exist. ATEQ has some patented
solutions. You know a breakthrough with a new buzzword is
certainly a clever marketing ploy with exagerated claims,
and
your client is going to hold you responsible if the system
does not yeld the expected results. ATEQ does
not give unreasonable expectations to your clients, even
if it's not what they want to hear. This way you are not
the one to tell your client that he is dreaming.
8) Does your client want you to commit to a machine throughput?
If you have sample parts and some way to seal them, our
application engineers can hook up their demonstration equipment
to it, and run a quick test on them to give you an idea
of the cycle time. That's free if you are within driving
distance, or you can ship the part if they are small enough..
9) The application you sold does not meet the repeatability
requirements or the throughput with the leak test instrument
your client specified? An ATEQ applications engineer can
hook up its instrument to your test fixture and it might
end up working just fine and prove you are innocent. That's free within driving distance.
10) The machine you sold was blocked in customs because the instrument did not have the CE mark?
ATEQ products have CE marking , because you may want to ship them to the European Union.
