Aircraft service centers and manufacturing plants need to check regularly the calibration and good working order of the pitot static system which is the system that measures the air speed of the aircraft compared to the air (not the ground) and is the basis of the altimeter, horizontal and vertical airspeed indicators .
The altimeter, air speed indicators and vertical speed indicators also need to be checked for leaks since a leak would badly affect the mesurement.
